U.S. FORCES ENGAGE IN INTENSE FIREFIGHT IN KORENGAL VALLEY AFGHANISTAN

The terrain and conditions in the mountains of Afghanistan are brutal and unforgiving.

Gen. Stanley MacChrystal, head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, claims he has a plan to "win the hearts of minds" of the Afghanistan people, but does he really or is he like every other General who knows only war and has made a living off of war.

Time will tell, but in the meantime you can expect to hear about more U.S. casualties coming out of Afghanistan because the Taliban are large in numbers and know the land like the back of your hand.
