REPUBLICAN SENATORS STRAND 66,000 U.S. TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN

Senate Republicans voted to strand 66,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan without a Secretary of Defense when they decided to filibuster the nomination of former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense.

Republican Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham led the move to block the nomination of Hagel with an almost unprecedented filibuster for 10 days.

McCain and Graham are still pissed at Hagel because he had the balls to say the Iraq War was wrong.

McCain and Graham are also irked because the feel they haven't been given an answer on why the Benghazi, Libya "listening post" was left without adequate security and the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other Americans were killed in an attack on the "listening post" on September 11, 2012.

Both McCain and Graham don't mention that it was the Republicans in the House of Representatives who voted against further security funding for U.S. embassies around the world.
