173rd AIRBORNE'S FIRST 30 DAYS IN AFGHANISTAN---THIS TIME

What you see in this video is a unit of the 173rd Airborne out of Vicenza, Italy who recently returned to Afghanistan. They had been deployed to Afghanistan earlier in 2009.

The video shows the 173rd during their first 30 days in Afghanistan.

Ryan A Conklin, who appears in several other blogs on this site, is shown here talking to his friends back home in Brooklyn. The video mixes in footage of Ryan's friends back home--his girlfriend---and other friends who have a loved one serving in the same unit with Ryan in Iraq.
