MARINES LAUNCH MAJOR OFFENSIVE IN AFGHANISTAN
Thousands of U.S. Marines have poured from helicopters and armored vehicles into Taliban-controlled villages in southern Afghanistan in the first major operation under President Barack Obama's strategy to stabilize the country.
