DRAMATIC VIDEO OF A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF ONE ARMY PLATOON IN AFGHANISTAN

In March 2010, 1st Battalion 87th Infantry, United States Army deployed to Kunduz Afghanistan, where the Taliban had taken control of nearly the entire province. Without having sufficient supplies, air support or even ammunition, the battalion had one year to effectively neutralize all Taliban forces in the province and restore control to the government of Afghanistan. Village by Village and day by day despite numerous casualties, the battalion achieved all objectives. This footage is dedicated to the men of 3rd platoon, Alpha Company.
