MY WORLD WAR II SCRAPBOOK

In 1941 I started a scrapbook about World War II.  The scrapbook contains newspaper headlines, articles and memorabilia from World War II.  You can click on the link below and follow the arrows to cycle through the scrapbook.  I recently donated the scrapbook to the Pritzker Military Library in Chicago.

Here is the link to the scrapbook:

Please take a moment over the Memorial Day weekend to watch this video and say a prayer for our troops who are still at war in Afghanistan and deployed around the world.

The Afghanistan War has become the second "forgotten war."   I served in the Army during the first "forgotten war," the Korean War.

There are still close to 100,000 young men and women in our Armed Forces deployed to Afghanistan, but you would never know it by reading the newspapers or watching TV.

President Obama has promised to withdraw all combat troops from Afghanistan by 2014.  Frankly, I feel Obama should pull all of our troops out of Afghanistan and turn over the security to the ANA (Afghanistan National Army).
