FIRST LOOK AT WHAT PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL ANNOUNCE TONIGHT ABOUT TROOP DEPLOYMENT TO AFGHANISTAN

This video is a preview of what President Obama is going to say tonight when he addresses the nation from West Point on his final decision on how many troops he will be sending to Afghanistan.

I'm going to insert a personal opinion.

I was in the Army Combat Engineers during the Korean War and not one minute of my sixteen weeks of basic training was spent on how we could convert the North Koreans to our way of thinking.

On the contrary, we were trained to KILL or capture the North Koreans not try to educate them on democracy or help them rebuild their homes after we had destroyed them.

In fact, the same went for the Marines and all the various branches of the U.S. Army such as the Airborne, Armored and Infantry.

How the hell are our troops supposed to communicate with the Afghan people when it has been reported 85% of the Afghanistan people are illiterate?

So the bottom line is this.

You don't send in combat-trained troops to act as civics teachers anymore than you would send in a baseball team to play offense in a football game.
