DEFENSE AND PROSECUTION ADD LAST MINUTE EXPERT WITNESSES IN JODI ARIAS TRIAL

The defense and the prosecution have been given the go-ahead to add expert witnesses in a last minute attempt to win the Jodie Arias murder trial.

The judge had planned to turn the case over to the jury Friday, tut more witnesses could cause the judge to revise her plans.

Jodi Arias, victim or perpetrator? Jury deliberation this week

The Jodi Arias murder trial is slated to close this Thursday and Friday with closing arguments and then following jury instructions the case will be turned over to the jury for deliberations.

If convicted of premeditated murder of Travis Alexander, Jodi Arias could face a death sentence. 

Judge Sherry K. Stephens has already instructed the jury to make plans to work late Friday which sounds like she would like a jury verdict late Friday night.

The Jodi Arias trial is coming to an end.

Did the prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt Jodi Arias premeditated the murder of Travis Alexander?

Or, is it possible she planned to murder Travis Alexander but there isn't any proof other than circumstantial evidence and in a death penalty case like this you need more than circumstatial evidence?

Jodi Arias was on the witness stand for 18 days and famed attorney Mark Geragos feels the jury got to know her and it will be harder for all 12 jurors to agree she is guilty of planning the murder and should be put to death.

All it will take is for one juror to oppose sending Jodi Arias to death and it will be a hung jury.

A hung jury will mean a mistrial.

JENNIFER WILLMOTT, DEFENSE LAWYER FOR JODI ARIAS, RECEIVES LEGITIMATE DEATH THREAT

Jennifer Willmott, one of the defense lawyers for Jodi Arias, has received a legitimate death threat according to law enforcement officials.

The trial is nearing completion and none too soon because the Travis Alexander supporters are expressing in words and phone calls their deep-seated hatred for Jodi Arias.
It is expected the case will be given to the jury for deliberations on May 3 and Judge Stephens has already cautioned the jury they could work past the 5 PM normal closing time and well into the night.

JODI ARIAS VERDICT MAY 6 OR 7. THEORY OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

Putting aside all the lingo about lies, I have borrowed from a very attractive female friend of mine what she thinks really took place when Jodi killed Travis.

She feels every stab wound, slash of the throat, shot to the head, was Jodi's way of getting back at every guy who used her for sex and then dumped her. Sure, Jodi was sexually permissive and engaged in the sex, but when it went beyond what she was comfortable with she surrendered and made the fatal attraction mistake of mistaking sex for love.

She believed all her boyfriends in the past loved her, but all they wanted her for was for sex.

When she got into it with Travis on the fatal day, she was basically taking out on Travis all the guys who used her like "a piece of toilet paper" --a phrase she used to describe herself in court.

Travis was no longer Travis on June 4, 2008, but instead he was a composite of every guy she ever had an affair with. Jodi is obviously a very smart young woman, but she initially failed to realize when you are "eye candy" like her there are scores of guys who will feed her any line of BS just to have sex with her.

Jodi came to her senses that fatal night and Travis Alexander represented every guy who used and abused her in the past.

LESSER CHARGE WOULD ALLOW JODI ARIAS OUT OF JAIL IN TWO YEARS

The Jodi Arias defense is asking the judge to rule on a motion for a lesser charge that would allow Jodi Arias to be out of jail in two years or less if the jury inititially rejects the death penalty charge.

The prosecution had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Jodi Arias went to Mesa, Arizona on June 4, 2008 for the purpose of killing Travis Alexander. 
 
There is a lot of circumstantial evidence like gas cans and car rental receipts, but nothing that establishes premeditation beyond a reasonable doubt.

JODI ARIAS TRIAL BOMBSHELL: DEFENSE TO ASK FOR LESSER CHARGES AND WILL BRING IN SURREBUTTAL WITNESS

The Jodi Arias defense team will ask Judge Sherry K. Stephens to rule on a request for lesser charges when court convenves on Tuesday. The Defense team will also bring in a surrebuttal witness to refute prosecution witness, Janeen DeMarte, testimony where she stated Arias does NOT suffer from PTSD and is NOT a battered woman, but instead has a borderline personality disorder.

Two jurors have already been excused from jury duty in the Arias trial, and with only four alternates remaing, there is very strong possibility the jury will be reduced to less than the mandatory 12 jurors and the judge would be forced to declare a mistrial.
