The Jodi Arias trial took another unexpected turn Monday when court was abrupty canceled for the day after the Jodi Arias defense team asked for a mistrial and asked to be let go from the case.
Judge Sherry K. Stephens denied the mistrial and denied the defense team's wish to be taken off the case.
Meanwhile, one of the defense witnesses, Patti Womack, has refused to testify after she received death threats.
The defense team has decided to pull all witnesses, even Jodi Arias' mother, and only Jodi Arias will apper before the jury in her own behalf.
Jodi Arias' defense team made it clear that HLN has been very biased against Jodi Arias in
all of their reporting including scathing remarks about Arias by HLN's on-air personalities.
Judge Stephens had admonished the jury not to watch any TV coverage about the trial, but court observers feel it is absurd to think the jury did not go home and watch HLN's biased coverage of the trial.
