LATEST INFO ON CHOPPER CRASH: NAVY SEALS AND SPEC OPS TROOPS WERE ON A RESCUE MISSION

New details are emerging on what happened when a U.S. Chinook helicopter was shot down by a Taliban RPG in Afghanistan killing all 30 on board.

The Chinook was on a rescue mission to save U.S. Army Rangers pinned down by the Taliban.

Most of those killed on the helicoper were Navy Seals from the same Navy Seals Team Six unit that killed Osama Bin Laden, but not part of that strike force.
