Is the U.S. losing the war in Afghanistan?

Gen. Stanley McChrystal keeps changing the mission and the latest plan is for our combat troops to become construction workers and rebuild homes and infrastructure all over Afghanistan.

Combat troops are trained for combat, but not to become carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, etc.
