The U.S. troops in this video say they are not sure why they are in this desolate valley in Afghanistan involved in a fierce firefight with the Taliban.
Their expression is no different than many of the other soldiers and Marines who question what they are trying to accomplish in Afghanistan.
The firefights are more like skirmishes with neither side gaining anything.
