VARIETY OF 21 VIDEOS ON THE PROS AND CONS OF ADDING 40,000 MORE TROOPS TO AFGHANISTAN WAR

This is a playlist of 21 videos looking at the plan Gen. Stanley McChrystal, commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, has submitted to President Obama asking for 40,000 more troops to fight the war in Afghanistan.

President Obama has been deliberating what to do about the Afghanistan war.

The videos present a variety of pros and cons on whether more troops should be sent to Afghanistan.

President Obama is justifiably worried that the Afghanistan government under Harmid Karzai is very corrupt and hold little power outside of the capitol city of Kabul.

Obama also would like a more clear cut mission statement and an end game for when ALL U.S. troops can be pulled out of Afghanistan.

The danger with the McChrystal plan is the U.S. could become bogged down in a quagmire that would keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan for another ten or more years doing nation building.

While the Republicans argue against a new health care plan for American citizens, the Republicans are all gung-ho for more troops to Afghanistan without considering the cost of the war which would reach into the billions.

There is also a shortage of troops to send to Afghanistan and many within the ranks of the military feel consideration should be given to re-instating the military draft. They argue that is is not right that the same troops who have been rotated in and out of Iraq four and five times be sent to Afghanistan to start another series of rotations.

These videos will give a better perspective of what is being talked about behind closed doors in Washington and at the White House.
