It's half-ass tactic. No matter what strides you might make, when the orders are given to do a raid, or someone mis-drops ordnance, it pretty much undoes all of that work. Plus Marines, even the female ones, are not trained to love and be sweet, they are trained, like the men, to kill the enemy. Those were the problems we had in Iraq. Me and my friends might be really nice to the people and give them money, food, etc etc, but then when another group of guys drops ordnance on a village and nothing is done about it, it undoes all of our hard work. Like in Fire Mission.
Casey: Thanks for writing and I totally agree with what you had to say. I'm sure you found out the same thing I found out. It is very hard to explain to people that have never been in the service that we are trained to kill the enemy not hold hands with them.
