I'm so conflicted about this video. On the one hand, it shows that women have suffered next to men fighting this war. Then it brings out how children of our soldiers will be impacted. Damn, I think a child needs to have at least one person to depend on. If she reenlists and she is divorced, who will have these children's backs? Whatever she does decide, I think she should have some counseling first. She is an incredible woman! antgne

Antgne: Thanks so much for your comment and taking the time to look at this video. She does have to think about a lot of things, and I think your suggestion about counseling is a very good idea.

She's still messed up, though, Cork, probably for life. That's the trouble--the mainstream media still throws news like this out to the masses in order to sell these bullshit wars. You never see the flip side, though. The mantra that we hear today ("Thank you", etc etc)ought to be "I'm sorry--sorry that those fools in the gov't sent you all to that/those hell(s)". These GI's are and have been victims, placed in wasteful, racist, no-win, profiting-the- MICC_clusterfucks( eg, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War I and up to today)== all victims of a foreign policy based on greed, lies, arrogance and stupidity (e.g., Who in their right mind would conduct these endless hubristic {to coin a term} "campaigns" when the economy is hemorrhaging??}). Why say "thank you" for being needlessly wasted? WW2, Hostage Rescue, Humanitarian missions--sure--a lot of "mercis beaucoups" are in order, but not these wars of today. And worst of all, if they're lucky to get back, they hardly get the help they need. Still, everybody's "Hooah-ing, rattling sabers while "chest deep in the Big Muddy". And still, the "Big Fools say to push on!"

Anonymous: Thanks so much for your excellent comment. I totally agree with you about the recent wars. They have been a terrible waste of money and human life.
This is why I'm posting so much about Afghanistan because I see where this war is going to be a terrible drain on the United States not only in money but human resources.
Thanks again,
Cork
