MILITARY FUNERALS: "WHEN ANGELS CRY"--JANIS IAN. (VIDEO)

The Bush administration has forbid any pictures to be taken of our deceased soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, but this doesn't stop this blogger from reminding Americans that we still have a combined 160,000 troops engaged in battle in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN and many of them will be returning in flag-draped coffins such as the ones you will see in this video.

Cork, you know that back during the Vietnam War, my old man was very anti-it and cynical. As a matter of fact, HE was against it before I was, as I was being fed the Kool-aid in high school by gung-ho teachers and administration. I inherited his cynicism and distrust of the gov't then have refined it since I got older. Dad remarked about the military funeral's rifle volleys-- "They (meaning the military/industrial/CONGRESSIONAL complex)can't be just satisfied with just the bodies, son, they've gotta shoot in the air to make sure their spirits don't get to Heaven!" Ol' dad sure had it pegged.

Anonymous: Thanks for sharing that story from your Dad. I never heard that before and I was in the Army.
