CHILDREN OF CONFLICT--AFGHAN CHILDREN TELL THEIR SIDE OF THE WAR (TEAR-JERKING VIDEOS)

Children of Conflict looks at the misery, poverty and never ending internal conflict that is the lot of Afghan children.

Seven years ago, President Bush and Vice President Cheney along with other warmongers in Washington, D.C. launched an invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.

The whole purpose of the war with Afghanistan was to find Osama bin Laden, but SEVEN years later bin Laden has not been captured or killed, but the living conditions for the Afghanistan children worsens every single day.

Bush and Cheney will soon be leaving Washington and in their place will be Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Obama has pledged to send more troops to Afghanistan, and Defense Secretary Robert Gates is planning on sending 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan by the summer of 2009.

As the video explains, the Russians tried to defeat the Afghans and after 10 years had to give up in total humiliation.

President-elect Barack Obama should think long and hard before committing more U.S. troops to Afghanistan which will only bring about more misery and suffering for innocent Afghan children.

Democracy is fleeting in Afghanistan and only the capitol city of Kabul has a shaky democracy. The rest of Afghanistan teeters on the brink of starvation and collapse.

The United States military will eventually have to pullout of Afghanistan and when they do the Taliban and Al Qaeda will again take control of the country.

It is a given.

I so understand Angelina Jolie going there to adopt children. We must do something about these children. But what? And how? This is evil in its purest form. What beautiful children these kids are, it shows the best of the human spirit.

Thanks for your comment Anonymous.
Angelina Jolie continues to do wonderful work with the refugees in Afghanistan and in Darfur.
As for what we should do, I would suggest we get our troops out of Afghanistan and let the population return to farming even if is growing poppy. Killing innocent civilians and children accomplishes nothing and only makes the Afghan people hate the United States more and more as each day goes by.
