WHAT CANDIDATE FOR POTUS WOULD STOP THIS?

We have now gone through a caucus and a primary and we are wondering who you think might best stop what is described in the story below? The presidential field is narrowing and according to all exit polling getting out of Iraq is still uppermost on the minds of voters. We invite your comments. Just click on "comments" at the end of the story below and tell us who you think would do the best job of getting us out Iraq and why you think they are better than anyone else running for President of the United States.

Bill:

I think the most likely to leave iraqnam is Edwards with Obama second.

John Edwards!
Hillary and Obama are raking in the big bucks from Big Business - making a killing in Iraq.

John Edwards has learned.
Hillary and Obama have not - evidenced by their endorsement and support of warmonger Lieberman for re-election - while turning their backs on anti-war Lamont.

Edwards campaigned with Lamont.

There is only one candidate left standing who has a viable plan to safely bring the troops home.

Edwards says we absolutely must get help in training the Iraqi police. Several countries have said they would help and bush told them no. Germany was one of them. Edwards knows that unless they train in another location besides Iraq, they will have more violence and outside risks. Therefore, he realizes they need to be isolated to another location, perhaps Qatar. And we should take up the offers of other countries to help.

Meanwhile, there is going to be violence no matter when we bring the troops home...so we need to start pulling them out within two months after we get Iraqi police trained.

Also, Edwards is the only candidate that says we need to get the contractors out of Iraq immediately and give those jobs to very capable Iraqis. This would give them jobs, income, and it would be much cheaper than our contractors. DUH.

There is going to be violence as we leave...but they are not reporting the violence happening now. While US soldiers' deaths may be down, that is not so with the Iraqi innocents. You can bet this will be reported when we start bringing troops home. Why? Because the media's owned by corporations who make money on the war...so they will report that it is not working and for the first time site Iraqis' deaths. But hey, we knew going into Iraq that there would be sectarian violence. Well, maybe Congress and bush didn't because in questions asked Congress, the republicans didn't know which were which and which country dominated. They didn't even know what Bin Laden was or what Saddam was. LOL But most of us knew there would be sectarian violence. If we leave now or if we leave in 10 or 15 years, there will be sectarian violence.

Edwards is the candidate that says permanent bases will be closed in Iraq.

There is only one candidate serious about ending this war NOW and probably by no coincidence, it is the one not taking any lobbyist money from the war machine.

BTW, since Clinton and Obama have been copying Edwards' homework, they may say the same things but since these were Edwards' progressive and strong ideas first, I trust only Edwards -- the only one not taking the war makers' money.

Hooray, for John Edwards. Finally, a man who will fight the corporations instead selling out to them.

As a lawyer, he has a reputation of fighting for the little guy, and standing up to the corporations.

It is time for a new direction in America, and Edwards will be the one to make it happen.

I'm going to have to say that Ron Paul is the best candidate to bring them home.

Only he will cut through the red tape (eliminate the wasteful gov't groups in the way) to make way for a timely pullback.

I remember Edwards saying once that if elected, he could get everyone out by Dec 2009.
