TWO GIs WERE KILLED BY LOB BOMBS, BUT MILITARY SAID IT WAS SMALL ARMS FIRE: FILM BY CASEY J. PORTER

This video by Casey J. Porter, who served two tour in Iraq, is titled "A.O.--Area of Operations" and in the video two U.S. soldiers are killed by LOB bombs, but the U.S. Military or Dept. of Defense (DOD) said they were killed by small arms fire.

Naturally, the media in the United States reported the two soldiers that were killed were killed by small arms fire rather than the new LOB bomb the Iraqi insurgents use.

SITUATION WORSENS IN AFGHANISTAN: TALIBAN TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR KILLING 8 CIA AGENTS

The mainstream media in the United States continues to avoid telling the American public the truth about the dire situation in Afghanistan.

In this video from an Afghan news outlet, they describe the Afghan situation as worsening. In addition to the suicide bombing that claimed the lives of 8 top CIA agents, there has been an attack on a Canadian convoy that killed four Canadian soldiers and a female Canadian journalist.

KABUL, Afghanistan - Four U.S. service members have been killed in a roadside bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan, NATO said Monday. The British Ministry of Defense separately reported the death of one of the country's soldiers in an explosion.

A statement from NATO's International Security Assistance Force said the explosion that killed the U.S. service members took place Sunday in southern Afghanistan, but did not give further details on the location or the victims' branch of service.

The deaths are the first U.S. fatalities attributable to hostile action in Afghanistan this year. One U.S. service member has died of non-combat causes so far in 2010.

The British soldier died while on foot patrol Sunday in Helmand province, the ministry said.

On December 28, the Christian Science Monitor published an op-ed that was misleading – to the point of being pure propaganda. The lead sentence is so far from reality that I stayed late at the office on New Year’s Eve to kill this myth dreamed up by someone who must read military press releases and then regurgitate them whole.

The CSM column by Jamie Holmes falsely claimed that, "For the first time since the establishment of all-volunteer forces in 1973, the US military has met all of its recruiting goals." Not only is this wrong, it ignores a mountain of evidence clearly available in the press showing the military remains in crisis.

In reality, the military failed to reach new enlistment goals for the past decade. The military accomplished this by manipulating, and thereby significantly lowering, the number of new recruits needed to fill the ranks. The military accomplished this voodoo bookkeeping by relying upon more than 500,000 individual National Guard and Reserve service members to fill recruiting shortages.

The true number is even higher because many Guard and Reserve activated and deployed twice or more.

YOUNG AFGHAN WOMEN BURN THEMSELVES RATHER THAN REMAIN IN ABUSIVE MARRIAGE

In this video you see young Afghan women who were married when they were only seven and ten years old describe how their husbands were drug addicts and refused to stop taking drugs and the young women felt the only way to get out of the situation was to set themselves on fire.

The United States government and our military in Afghanistan claim the Afghanistan National Army consists of 90,000 troops, but the truth is it is more like 40,000 because of desertions and Afghan troops going AWOL.

According to President Obama, the whole mission in Afghanistan is to train the Afghan National Army to eventually take control of security for the country.

However, there are many in the U.S. Army who claim the Afghan National Army is so undisciplined that desertions and AWOL go unpunished and the ANA is just a shell of what an army should be.

Most of the Afghans are high on drugs and one Afghan soldier was so "bombed" he put his helmet on backwards.

President Obama and Gen. MacChrystal say our purpose in Afghanistan is to train the Afghan Army to an eventual takeover of all security.

At the rate it is going, this could be another 10 or 20 years because the Afghans are totally undisciplined and have no understanding of what it is to be a soldier.

Why the hell don't we just pack up and get out of Afghanistan? Let President Hamid Karzai and his "crooks" in Kabul figure the whole mess out.

Not one more soldier or Marine should have to die for this fiasco that President Bush and Vice President Cheney got us into and for some ungodly reason President Obama feels we should continue this war.
