NEWS ALERT: JODI ARIAS' LAWYERS WANT VENUE CHANGE FOR SENTENCING PHASE OF TRIAL

The lawyers for convicted murderer JODI ARIAS have filed a motion have the trial moved to another venue for the sentencing phase. 

A hearing will be held on September 16 on the motion and other motions filed by the lawyers.

WAR WITH SYRIA???

NOT ONE Republican who is shouting at PRESIDENT OBAMA that we should go to war with SYRIA has ever served in any branch of the UNITED STATES MILITARY. As a former GI who was drafted into the UNITED STATES ARMY in 1951, I can say without a shred of doubt there is no way we could go to war with SYRIA without reinstating the military draft. Our troops are stretched to the breaking point having fought wars with IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN and only a draft will keep the same troops from going on another tour to fight in SYRIA.

Wardak, Afghanistan -- During a BDA (Battle Damage Assessment) patrol to assess enemy KIA after 4 A-10 gun runs, Afghan forces engage Taliban fighters on a motorcycle. The initial engagement sparks a firefight that lasts 2 hours where over 3,000 rounds, 4 60mm mortars, and 4 Carl Gustav rounds are spent. There were no friendly casualties during this engagement.
