A good friend of this blogger has a grandson who is with the 173rd Airborne and was involved in this vicious firefight in the Chowkay Valley of Afghanistan. He described how bullets were whizzing around near his position, but neither he or any of his buddies were hit, however there were U.S. casualties as you will see at the conclusion of this video. The Destined Company, Chosen Company of the 173rd Airborne are in the thick of the battle that is raging on a daily basis in Afghanistan and yet never gets even ten seconds of attention on American TV. Why is it the mainstream media in the United States can't even devote a minute to show what our troops are going through in Afghanistan, but can devote endless hours to Michael Jackson?

Thank you guys out there puttin on the line. I love to see our guys given back to the Taliban like that, espicially when those to troopers both "hung and dropped" those huge Mortar rounds back-to-back, that was awsome! We may get our hat handed to us in the political arena; but hey, we got to let the rest of the world rattle their sabers - everyone knows what we can do. Besides we'll just send in the 173rd ...Get Some!
