PATRICIA WOMACK, JODI ARIAS' CHILDHOOD FRIEND, WITHDRAWS FROM WITNESS LIST AFTER DEATH THREATS

Patricia Womack, who has known Jodi Arias since they went to grammar school, has withdrawn from the witness list for Jodi Arias after she received death threats.

Arias was a bridesmaid in Womack's wedding and Womack describes Arias as one of the sweetest people you ever meet and also one of the most beautiful.

BOMBSHELL AT JODI ARIAS TRIAL

The JODI ARIAS murder trial took another strange twist on Monday when the defense asked for a mistrial and then asked to be removed from representing Jodi Arias.

Judge Sherry K. Stephens denied both requests.

The defense then stated they would not be calling any witnesses for the sentencing phase of the trial saying several of the defense witnesses had received death threats.

Jodi Arias is expected to talk to the jury on Tuesday.

JODI ARIAS' DEFENSE DENIED MISTRIAL. DEFENSE ASK TO BE REMOVED FROM CASE. DEFENSE WITNESS RECEIVES DEATH THREAT

The Jodi Arias trial took another unexpected turn Monday when court was abrupty canceled for the day after the Jodi Arias defense team asked for a mistrial and asked to be let go from the case.

Judge Sherry K. Stephens denied the mistrial and denied the defense team's wish to be taken off the case.

Meanwhile, one of the defense witnesses, Patti Womack, has refused to testify after she received death threats.

The defense team has decided to pull all witnesses, even Jodi Arias' mother, and only Jodi Arias will apper before the jury in her own behalf.

Jodi Arias' defense team made it clear that HLN has been very biased against Jodi Arias in
all of their reporting including scathing remarks about Arias by HLN's on-air personalities.

Judge Stephens had admonished the jury not to watch any TV coverage about the trial, but court observers feel it is absurd to think the jury did not go home and watch HLN's biased coverage of the trial.
