Pfc BRADLEY MANNING FOUND GUILTY OF 19 COUNTS OF LEAKING CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS TO WIKILEAKS

Back in 1952, I was a Corporal (E4) and assigned to G2 Intelligence and had thousands of classified documents signed out to me.  I had received a security clearance to handle classified information. Neaver in my wildest dreams did I ever consider leaking any of the classified documents to the media or an outfit like Wikileaks.

Pfc Bradley Manning has been found guilty of 19 counts of leaking classified information to Wikileaks and could spend the rest of his life in prison.

The story is developing, but you can read the initial court findings here:

Given that Edward Snowden can be considered a traitor based on existing US anti-espionage laws because unlike Daniel Ellsberg - Snowden haven't voluntarily surrendered to the nearest US Attorney General's office when leaking top secret data in the name of protesting against an unjust law - I think Bradley Manning is guilty of most of the anti-espionage laws that he violated. And I only wonder if Manning had surrendered during the "W. Bush administration" could he have ended up with a .45 caliber pistol round at the back of his head?

Ah yes, Ringo. If Manning had surrendered during the Bush administration he would have been a victime of "friendly fire."

Given your past criticisms on "military justice" on your Facebook account, Bill - at least US Army PFC Bradley Manning got more or less a semblance of a "fair trial" instead of dying in a friendly-fire incident under very suspicious circumstances.

Sorry April, but I just cannot condone a Pfc in the military deciding he has the knowledge and right to leak classified documents to a person who turns them over to our enemy. Good thing there wasn't a Pfc Bradley Manning around on June 6, 1944 or Hitler would have been tipped off just where and when the D-Day invasion was going to take place.
