I cannot describe my emotions after watching this. My normal hopeful spirit is slain.
As a young girl my Dad used to tell us WWII stories in bed at night. They weren't all grim and he was cafeful not to get graphic.
Once he told a story of a grenade
that dropped a few feet from him (he didn't describe his thioughts
at the time to us); only that the grenade never "went off". Of course, I would not be here to tell this story if it had. To see that young man shot and be dragged off reminded me that the future generation has been altered, not only for this man and his family,
but for all men and women's families who have died. God be with them!
