This video was made just ONE WEEK ago in Afghanistan and shows what happens when U.S. Chinook helicopter is shot down.
The video shows gruesome footage and how two F-15s fighters come in to assist in the rescue of the down helicopter and its crew.
A Navy seals team is sent in to help in the rescue, but Al Qaeda directs all their fire at them.
A second wave of U.S. fighter jets come in to bomb Al Qaeda positions.
Army Rangers are beaten back by Al Qaeda.
This is truly an unbelievable video of real combat.

Cork, Afghanistan was Russia's Vietnam, Obama's nuts if he thinks he'll win there. I voted for him too, but he shouldn't get caught in MORE quicksand. Even if bin Ladin is caught there, there are thousands if not millions there who hate us. Just another endless genocide. ANOTHER waste.
Anonymous: I totally agree with you. So what if we capture or kill Osama bin Laden. There are hundreds if not thousands ready to replace him. Obama is making a terrible mistake if he thinks he can defeat the Afghans.

Russia didn't win, Britain didn't win, Genghis Khan avoided it; America basicly committed treason by shoring up the mujadeen. All it'll do will fuck up what's left of our economy. I know Obama will have to dance to a lot of the right-wing's tunes but it's too early to tell what'll happen. But if he's smart, he'll disengage. It's time, Cork, to phase down the empire and take care of things HERE. And as an aside, it's time to redefine Memorial Day and Veterans' Day as pleas for PEACE, instead of the same old pro-war jingoistic, AMERICA UBER ALLES, war-glorifying bullshit that we alwaqys see.

It is a mess over there. We should get the hell out. We are never going to win as the Chinook video points out. I hope you understand I post these videos because the mainstream press no longer reports on the war.

No offense, but the video shown on the YouTube link looks like a documentary on a Chinook being shot down, not the real thing. The uniforms worn in the video are not the digital camo worn by soldiers now...it looks like the old Desert Storm/Shield uniforms. I don't know if that is the right link or not, but it does not look real to me.
Anonymous: Thanks for your comment. I have seen more than one version of the Chinook getting shot down and as far as I can tell it is the real thing. I think the interviews with the GIs in the video supports the authenticity of the video. If I find out otherwise, I'll correct it.

How can you claim that is real? It's documentary re-enactment.. and also why are you talking about Obama like he is the one that put us there. He is dealing with someone else's mess just like the economy..
Anonymous: How do you know this is a documentary re-enactment? I have seen this video from various news sources as well as the the Pentagon. I'm not blaming Obama, but he has expanded the war.
