BAGHDAD CAR BOMB KILLS 9, WOUNDS 26

A car bomb has exploded in a crowded commercial area in eastern Baghdad, killing at least nine Iraqi civilians and leaving 26 others wounded. The blast occurred at about 9:15 a.m. police officials said, adding that a child and three women were among those killed. There were no reports regarding the possible US casualties. Health officials also said clashes in Baghdad's Sadr City killed eight people, including two women and a child, and wounded 18 others, including women and children, AP reported.
