JODI ARIAS MURDER TRIAL BECOMES A CIRCUS. MISTRIAL IN THE WORKS?

Thanks to prosecutor Juan Martinez and his bombastic way of asking questions of defense witnesses in the Jodi Arias murder trial, there is talk the trial is headed for a mistrial.

Martinez is a boorish little man who doesn't ask questions.  He shouts at witnesses.  He also seems to have a fetish for talking about all the graphic sex Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander had and was released via an audio tape to the jury and court room spectators including Arias's mother and Alexander's family.

JODI ARIAS TRIAL ENDS WEEK ON BIZARRE "SNOW WHITE" ANALOGY AND REPORTERS CHASING OUSTED JUROR

The Jodi Arias trial ended the week on a bizarre note as the prosecution went into a lenghty and sometimes incoherrent story about "Snow White" which left spectators in the gallery laughing out loud.

Also, the press went into ambush mode in an attempt to corner a juror who had been dismissed from the jury and yet ended up seated in the court during Thursday's trial.

HLN'S NANCY GRACE PUTS ON PUBLIC DISPLAY SHE IS A COMPLETE DUMMY

 

I could hardly wait to see how HLN would spin the Snow White analogy, and they didn't fail, especially "our favorite" Nancy Grace.

SHE IS SO DUMB.

They spent an hour today reading from texts Travis Alexander had sent to Jodi calling her everything from a 3-hole wonder to somebody who could give lessons on how to give a BJ.

Then Grace says the words were Jodi's words and apparently doesn't even know they were reading in court from text messages sent by Alexander. You could see on the screen they were text messages and not something Jodi made up.

Then Grace made a joke of Alexander having sex with every girl he met. Again these were from text messages from the women Alexander had sex with. Grace made a joke of it and said he was 30 years old and what would you expect him to be doing. What about all that Mormon chastity BS that we have heard so much about?

Again, Grace totally overlooks that aspect and makes a joke out of a 30 year old guy having sex. Her exact words were; "Hello, what else is new? A 30 year old "handsome" single guy having sex with every girl he met." She ended her rant by saying; "I'm shocked. Shocked, shocked." She totally misses the point that he is telling everyone he is a virgin because he is a Mormon and would abstain from any kind of sex until married.

HAS JUDGE SHERRY K. STEPHENS LOST CONTROL OF JODI ARIAS MURDER TRIAL?

HAS JUDGE SHERRY K. STEPHENS, presiding Judge in the JODI ARIAS murder trial, lost control of the trial? Kirk Nurmi, JODI ARIAS attorney, told Judge Stephens that he saw an HLN cameraman taking pictures of the jury as the filed into court. Juror #5, who was booted off the jury, is back in the court today and watching the trial.

Jodi Arias wants a new trial because she says juror misconduct has made her current trial unconstitutional. Arias is on trial for killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander on June 4, 2008. Arias’ attorneys base their motion for a mistrial on information about Juror 5’s behavior that was discovered in a sealed hearing last Thursday.

“Ms. Arias takes the position that the statements Juror 5 made in front of her fellow jurors amounts to misconduct,” Arias attorneys wrote. “Given the evidence that came forward on March 28, 2013, it is beyond legitimate dispute that Juror 5 is not fair and impartial making her unfit to continue as a juror.”

Juror 5 is a married, white female in her 30s. Court observers have said she is the most visible juror from the gallery because she has a “unique hair style.”
Judge Sherry Stephens held the sealed hearing last Thursday to discuss with the jurors whether any of them had witnessed prosecutor Juan Martinez posing for pictures with fans outside the courthouse.

Arias’ attorneys want Juror 5 kicked off the jury if the judge doesn’t grant a mistrial. Removing Juror 5 may be a remedy, because there are 18 jurors right now. Twelve jurors will be chosen before deliberations, and the rest will be alternates that could be called in deliberate if necessary.

Was Jodi Arias victim of abuse? According to a domestic violence expert who testified last week, the answer might be affirmative. Alyce LaViolette testified about previously undisclosed emails from Travis Alexander's close friends that indicate he had a history of being abusive, The HuffPost reported March 29.

"They have basically advised Ms. Arias to move on from the relationship . . . that Mr. Alexander has been abusive to women," psychotherapist LaViolette testified. LaViolette was referencing email exchanges between Arias, Alexander and his longtime friends Chris and Sky Hughes.

In one of the emails, Alexander called himself a sociopath and Arias a "booty call," the online publication EnStarz reported April 1.
The email's contents were outlined in court records filed in January, 2011 according to another report, with the following statements: "A response from Mr. Hughes . . . wherein he asserts that he believes Jodi would be his (Travis') next victim and that Jodi was just another girl that he (Travis) was playing" and "that Alexander considered Arias to be a "booty call."

The lawyers representing Jodi Arias in the murder trial in Mesa, Arizona, have filed a motion for prosecutorial misconduct because the prosecuting attorney, Juan Martinez, has been observed outside the court after court hours signing autographs and having his picture taken with spectators. According to eyewitnesses several of Arias trial jurors have observed this clear violation.

Jodi Arias is facing the death penalty for killing Travis Alexander if the jury finds the murder was premeditated. So far the prosecution has only provided circumstantial evidence, but nothing concrete to show she actually planned the murder. Recently released emails show Alexander had a long, long history of abusing women, He was a pillar in the Mormon Church and actually talked Jodi into joining Mormon Church and presided at her Baptism after which he took her to his home and performed anal sex on her.
