Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai was just about to start a jiirga (meeting) of tribal leaders in hopes of establishing some kind of peace arrangement with the Taliban when rockets were fired at the building where the jiirga was being held.

Three militants were killed and the meeting got underway after a short delay.
