This is a playlist of 33 videos from the war in Afghanistan and will make you wonder why we are planning on sending another 40,000 troops into this quagmire.

The 33 videos contain footage of US, British, Irish, German and other coalition troops fighting against the Taliban in Afghanistan.

IRAQ: 12 killed in Anbar bombings

BAGHDAD - A series of bombings killed at least 12 people and wounded dozens more Sunday in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, said police and hospital officials, a worrying sign that violence maybe on the rise in this former hotbed of the insurgency.

The first explosion occurred in a parking lot near the police headquarters for Anbar province and the provincial council building in the city of Ramadi, said a Ramadi police official.

As police and bystanders rushed to the scene, a suicide bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up among the crowds, said the police official. According to the official, a third explosion took place later but there were few details available.

Secondary explosions timed to kill rescuers and security forces responding to an earlier bomb were a hallmark of Al-Qaida in Iraq forces during the height of the insurgency.

The police official said 16 people were killed in the explosions, while an official at the Ramadi hospital said 12 bodies were brought to the hospital.

Nobody has yet defined the mission or an exit strategy. Afghanistan is twice the size of Iraq and it would take forever to bring peace to the country. The Afghan government is in shambles and can't even control Kabul let alone all of Afghanistan. Al Queda no longer operates out of Afghanistan and the Taliban are a series of splinter groups with no single person in charge of their operations.

In short, Afghanistan is a mess and will only get worse with more US troops sent to the region.

As Pakistan President Asif Zardari admitted to the strong presence of the Taliban in Pakistan, one of the most affected by the fighting there have been schoolgirls. If President Obama decides to send an additional 40,000 troops into Afghanistan, the blood-thirsty Taliban will cross from Pakistan to Afghanistan to fight the American troops.

SHOCKING VIDEO: US TROOPS BURST INTO SWEDISH HOSPITAL IN AFGHANISTAN

U.S. troops burst into a Swedish charity-run hospital in Afghanistan and tied up patients' relatives and staff, the charity said last week, in what it called a breach of deals between the military and aid groups.

The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan says soldiers had entered its hospital in Wardak, south of Kabul, without explanation and conducted a search, including of female wards and toilets.

KABUL — Militant fighters streaming from an Afghan village and a mosque attacked a pair of remote outposts near the Pakistani border, killing eight U.S. soldiers and as many as seven Afghan forces in one of the fiercest battles of the eight-year war.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the deadliest attack for coalition forces since a similar raid in July 2008 killed nine American soldiers in the same mountainous region known as an al-Qaida haven.

The U.S. has already said it plans to pull its soldiers from the isolated area to focus on Afghan population centers.Fighting began around dawn Saturday and lasted several hours, said Jamaludin Badar, governor of Nuristan province.

Badar said the two outposts were on a hill — one near the top and one at the foot of the slope — flanked by the village on one side and the mosque on the other.

Nearly 300 militant fighters flooded the lower, Afghan outpost then swept around it to reach the American station on higher ground from both directions, said Mohammad Qasim Jangulbagh, the provincial police chief.

That has made it a potential target for Nato forces in the region.

But, in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Nawab Aslam Raisani, Baluchistan's chief minister has warned that any US attacks on his soil could seriously backfire.
