General Stanley McChrystal, the top US Commander in Afghanistan, says the current mission in Afghanistan is failing and he wants President Obama and Congress to send him more troops. The mission in Afghanistan keeps changing and the current position is to train Afghans to take control of their own destiny. The United States military is also facing a very delicate balancing act because many of the Afghan population feel the recent election was corrupt and the United States is on the side of the current government. The situation in Afghanistan is spiraling out of control and nobody in Washington or the military seems to have a clear cut idea on what to do next in Afghanistan. The Republicans are pushing for more troops because even though it would cost many American lives the Republicans would rather see young Americans die in Afghanistan if it is going to mean the Afghanistan war is a debacle under President Obama.

LISTEN AND WATCH AS APACHE HELICOPTERS WIPEOUT ROADSIDE BOMBERS IN AFGHANISTAN

While conducting deliberate operations in support of Operation Panchai Palang, an Aerial Weapons Team of AH-64 Apache helicopters from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade (TF Pegasus) observed six insurgents emplacing an improvised explosive device near Highway 601.

Enemy forces operating along that highway were routinely targeting perceived soft targets with complex attacks; initiating attacks with IEDs followed by small arms fire and rocket propelled grenade attacks.

After validating the individuals as IED emplacers and ensuring the area was clear of civilians, the team engaged and destroyed three of the IED emplacers. The team followed and engaged the remaining three individuals. Task Force Pegasus employed an IED exploitation team to gather information and items from the site.

DEA AGENTS AMBUSHED IN AFGHANISTAN FIREFIGHT (NEW VIDEO)

At one point early on in this video, you can actually hear a Taliban bullet whistle past the head of one of the DEA agents caught in the ambush.

As the Obama administration ramps up the Drug Enforcement Administration's presence in Afghanistan, some special-agent pilots contend that they're being illegally forced to go to a combat zone, while others who've volunteered say they're not being properly equipped.

In interviews with McClatchy Newspapers, more than a dozen DEA agents describe a badly managed system in which some pilots have been sent to Afghanistan under duress or as punishment for bucking their superiors.

Such complaints, so far mostly arising from the DEA's Aviation Division, could complicate the Obama administration's efforts to send dozens of additional DEA agents to Afghanistan as part of a civilian and military personnel "surge" that aims to stabilize the country.

WHY OBAMA SHOULDN'T BE BOXED IN BY HIS WAR ZONE COMMANDERS

President Obama is facing a crisis and it isn't health care reform.

Obama's war zone commanders are attempting to box him and force him to send more troops to Afghanistan.

There is also another reason why Obama should resist sending more troops to Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan war is a "no win" situation because the country is split in scores of tribal units and not one tribal group would represent the whole country in signing some kind of armistice.

This is not like WW2 where Gen. MacArthur met on the battleship Missouri with representatives from Japan to sign an unconditional surrender.

Also, Al Qaeda, which was the reason we invaded Afghanistan almost eight years ago, are no longer in Afghanistan and have fled across the border into Pakistan so defeating the Taliban and all the tribal groups would be a worthless exercise in blood loss on both sides.
