U.S. SPECIAL OPS FORCES KILL OSAMA BIN LADEN
OSMA BIN LADEN, the mastermind behind the 9/11 attack that killed over 3,000 Americans, has been killed by U.S. Special Ops forces inside a heavily guarded mansion just 35 miles from the capitol of Islamabad, Pakistan.

LARA LOGAN, Chief Foreeign Correspondent for CBS News, tells in her own words how she was sexually assaulted in Egypt by an angry mob.
She describes in vivid detail how they ripped her clothing off and how they were taking pictures of her as she lie completely naked.

Kirkuk
Colonel Nouzad Talabani, a senior officer in the intelligence service of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, is assassinated. This is interesting in a couple of ways. First, despite the creation of a Kurdistan regional government in 1992, and the demotion of the PUK and the KDP from rival regional governments to political parties, it turns out the PUK retains it's own security force and bestows military ranks. Second, it's interesting that somebody would want to kill this guy. Hmmm. AFP has additional details.
Mosul
Suicide attack on an Iraqi army patrol kills 7 people, 4 soldiers and 3 civilians, and injures 15.
Baquba
Sticky bomb attached to a teacher's car kills him. Xinhua also reports a 6 year old child is injured by a roadside bomb just north of the city.
Armed men storm the home of a Sunni cleric and kill him, his wife and child.
Gunmen wearing police uniforms invade the home of four brothers who were Sahwa members and kill them all.
Tarmiyah, north of Baghdad
Roadside bomb injures 2 people.
Baghdad
Bomb planted in a commercial area injures 3 people. Separately, a roadside bomb in southern Baghdad injures 4.

AFGHANSTAN SITUATION DETERIORATES
Afghanistan: Analysis of incidents from January thru March show there was no seasonal winter lull in activity. The level of combat and other security incidents continued to rise since November. Overall activity in March was the highest from mid-2006. Anti-government fighters were active in 231 of the 400 districts in Afghanistan. That is the same number as last November during the early winter offensive. The significance is that last winter Coalition forces were unable to reduce the level of activity or the number of districts under stress. The actual number of districts under Taliban and anti-government influence might be considerably higher than 231 because quiet districts in Taliban -dominated provinces, such as Paktika, usually mean the Taliban have unchallenged freedom of operation. In general, the data show the security situation in Afghanistan deteriorated during the winter.
