U.S Troops from 2nd Platoon, C Company, 2nd of the 502nd, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne division and Afghan soldiers from the 205 corps engage and pursue the enemy in Zahri District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
We were on a patrol in Helmand, Afghanistan (1/5, ACo 2nd Plt, 1st Sqd) when we had to cross a pipe. Sergeant Melvin (never thought to be scared of heights) was crossing and when he starts to fall (53 seconds into the clip) it became one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
Looks like this event has been censored in the Western media. New footage obtained by Press TV showing Afghan fighters attacking a US supply convoy in the northeast province of Kunar.
The convoy had entered Afghanistan through Torkham border in the east and was carrying supplies, including fuel, for a US military base in the province.
The convoy was escorted by eight US armored vehicles carrying about 40 American soldiers and an Afghan military truck when it came under attack in Jalala village.
The Afghan fighters claim they have killed all 40 American troops in the attack and seized the convoy's supplies.
American airstrikes have targeted the village several times in the past months, resulting in heavy civilian casualties.
The invasion of Afghanistan took place with the official objective of curbing militancy and bringing peace and stability to the country. Nine years on, however, Afghanistan remains unstable and civilians continue to pay the price.
Civilian casualties have always been a source of friction between the Afghan government and foreign troops, with Afghan officials frequently condemning NATO attacks on civilians.
According to a UN report, about 2,800 civilians were killed by foreign forces and Taliban militants in Afghanistan last year.
A Press TV correspondent in Kabul says killings of civilians by US-led foreign forces will exacerbate the already tense situation in Afghanistan, where people are furious at the recent desecration of the Qur'an in the US.
President Obama fullfilled a campaign pledge today when he announced all US troops will be pulled out of IRAQ and will be home for the Christmas holidays.
Less than 200 troops will remain in Iraq to guard the new U.S. embassy.
Lara Logan's report takes viewers to the border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where she and her crew came under enemy fire from fighters who the U.S. military says keep coming from their sanctuary in Pakistan.
This is the kind of story and video that should be in every newspaper and on every TV station, but because the mainstream media claims the public is suffering from "war fatigue" this will be the only place you ever see this story and video of what happened to Army Staff Sgt. Todd Nelson after he suffered horrendous injuries following a suicide attack in Afghanistan.
Alpha 1-87 IN 10th MTN charges head first into an enemy ambush. Skip to 2:20 to begin if you want. Basically we were on a cache search when we hit an enemy ambush from about 30-50 meters away, you can hear the bullets going by Gannon's head. Gannon leads his SAW gunner to fight through the ambush and sets up a base of fire for the rest of the squad to reach him from the open field, un-noticed valor that goes on everyday in Afghanistan and Iraq. Unfortunately the camera is knocked off mid way through the video and pretty much just for audio.
A United Nations report has found "compelling evidence" that Afghan intelligence officials at five detention centres "systematically tortured detainees for the purpose of obtaining confessions and information".
An AP journalist embedded with troops in Afghanistan recently filmed U.S. Marines firing at positions where Taliban militants were believed to be in the Hemland Province
